One local shared a heartfelt testimony of how the service came to her aid during a 24-hour bout of severe pain. Unable to sleep or eat, she initially considered going to the emergency room but faced challenges such as finding transportation and leaving her young child unattended.
Despite calling her HMO for assistance, she was told that consultations were only available the next day, leaving her feeling hopeless. In a moment of desperation, she recalled the city government’s magazine outlining the free services available to residents and decided to try the doctor-on-call hotline at 0919-079-9112.
To her relief, the hotline was responsive. After a brief phone consultation and sharing her medical history via text, a doctor and two nurses arrived at her doorstep within an hour in an ambulance. The medical team administered IV medication to alleviate her pain, provided a thorough explanation of her condition, and issued prescriptions along with lab test requests.
Even more impressive was the offer of free laboratory tests, which could be done at the Taguig-Pateros District Hospital or the diagnostic center near the old city hall. The patient was also given the option to use private clinics to avoid waiting in line.
“I was blown away by the service and the care I received—right in my own home. Thank you, Taguig City! ❤️ I Love Taguig,” she wrote, encouraging others to save the hotline number for emergencies.
