Taguig City University (TCU) has officially announced its guidelines and procedures for accepting transferees for the second semester of Academic Year 2024-2025.

The university is opening its doors to students looking to transfer from other institutions, with a specific set of qualifications and application requirements that must be met to ensure a smooth transition into TCU's academic environment.



Qualification Criteria

To qualify as a transferee, applicants must meet the following key requirements:

  • Residency: Applicants must have resided in Taguig City for at least three years before the application.

  • Voting Registration: At least one parent of the applicant should be a registered voter in Taguig. For applicants aged 18 or older, they must also be registered voters in the city.

  • Academic Level: Only incoming second-year students are eligible. Applicants should have completed no more than one academic year in college, and should not have been away from school for more than a year since their last enrollment.

  • Academic Performance: Transferees must have a General Weighted Average (GWA) of at least 1.75 or 88.75%, certified by their previous school. Additionally, the applicant should have no failed, incomplete, or dropped subjects.



Application Requirements

To be considered for transfer, applicants are required to submit the following documents:

  1. Medical, dental, and physical examination certificates (CBC, urinalysis, X-ray results).
  2. Honorable Dismissal from the previous school.
  3. Official Transcript of Records (OTR).
  4. PSA-issued Birth Certificate.
  5. Certificate of Good Moral Character, issued within the last six months.
  6. Two recent 2x2 ID photos (taken within the last six months), with a collared shirt, white background, and name tag (e.g., Dela Cruz, Juan Tan).



Pre-Enrollment Procedure and Timeline

The pre-enrollment process for transferees includes the following steps:

Online Application (October 14-28, 2024): Applicants must fill out the online form truthfully and completely. Any dishonesty may result in disqualification. The form can be accessed via a provided link or QR code.

Submission of Documents (November 11, 2024): Applicants are required to submit the necessary documents to the Registrar's Office.

Initial Results (November 18, 2024): The Registrar's Office will publish a list of those who passed the document screening.

Interviews (November 25-27, 2024): The TCU Evaluation Committee will conduct interviews with the shortlisted candidates.

Final Results (December 9, 2024): Those who qualify for transfer will be notified of the results. TCU emphasized that no appeals will be entertained once the results are released.

Enrollment Schedule: Qualified transferees should wait for further announcements regarding the schedule of enrollment.
