The CMCI, released annually by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), measures the overall competitiveness of local government units (LGUs) based on five key pillars: Economic Dynamism, Government Efficiency, Infrastructure, Resiliency, and Innovation. Taguig’s significant improvements across these categories highlight the city’s commitment to fostering growth and ensuring a high quality of life for its residents.

From its 19th place ranking in 2023, Taguig soared to 10th place this year, reflecting its strategic focus on economic dynamism, innovation, and infrastructure development.

Taguig’s Key Areas of Growth
In 2024, Taguig City topped the rankings in Economic Dynamism, securing the 1st position in this category. This achievement underscores the city’s robust business environment, marked by a growing number of local businesses, vibrant commercial activities, and effective economic policies that have made it a thriving hub for investments.
The city’s ongoing transformation is evident in key business districts such as Bonifacio Global City (BGC), a financial and lifestyle center that continues to attract multinational companies, startups, and innovative enterprises. Challenges and Opportunities
