Severe Tropical Storm (STS) "Kristine" has moved over the coastal waters of southern Ilocos Sur and is expected to intensify as it continues its path over the West Philippine Sea.
While Kristine is likely to remain a severe tropical storm over the next five days, the possibility of it being upgraded to a typhoon cannot be ruled out, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
Kristine is forecast to move westward or west-northwestward and is expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) by tomorrow afternoon, October 25.

As of 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Metro Manila, including Taguig City, remains under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 2. An Orange Heavy Rainfall Warning has also been issued for Taguig, signaling intense rain and possible flooding in low-lying areas.

The stormy conditions brought by STS Kristine are expected to persist in Taguig City throughout the forecast period, with residents advised to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions.
