Taguig City continues to enhance its green spaces through the collaborative efforts of the City Parks and Recreation Office (CPRO) and the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO).
Parks and Plazas Receiving a Green Makeover
Among the public spaces transformed with new greenery are:
- Maharlika Park
- Osano Park
- Friendship Park
- Taguig Eco Park
- Fort Bonifacio Linear Park
- Patag Linear Park
- Plaza Quezon
- San Miguel Park
- Plaza Bonifacio
- Taguig Community Center
- Taguig Lakeshore Community (TLC) Park
The plants used in these beautification efforts are sourced from the nursery garden at TLC Park. Removed plants from various sites are carefully rehabilitated at the nursery to ensure they can be replanted in the future.
A Commitment to Sustainability and Community
This initiative underscores Taguig City’s dedication to environmental sustainability and improving the quality of life for its residents. By creating lush, beautiful, and welcoming spaces, the city encourages people to enjoy nature, bond with family and friends, and engage in outdoor activities.
Taguig Mayor Lani Cayetano commended the CPRO and CENRO for their efforts, stating, “These green spaces are a testament to our city’s commitment to the well-being of our citizens and the environment. We are proud to provide places where families can gather and children can play in a cleaner, greener Taguig.”
A Greener Future for Taguig
The beautification of parks and plazas is part of a larger vision to make Taguig a model city for environmental care and community-centered development. Residents are encouraged to visit these spaces, enjoy their natural beauty, and contribute to maintaining their cleanliness and charm.
This project highlights the city’s proactive approach to urban greening, ensuring a vibrant and sustainable Taguig for generations to come.
