Taguig-Pateros Representative Ricardo "Ading" Cruz announced on Thursday, June 20, 2024, that over 1,800 factory workers in his district have benefited from the Ayuda para sa Kapos ang Kita Program (AKAP)

The initiative, designed to provide financial assistance to low-income workers, marks a significant step in supporting the local workforce.

"Today's AKAP for Factory Workers event is a testament to our commitment to uplift the lives of our constituents," said Representative Cruz. "We are grateful to Speaker Martin Romualdez for his unwavering support in facilitating this program for our fellow citizens."

In Taguig, the distribution for AKAP payout started to roll out in May 2024.

The AKAP Program aims to alleviate financial strain for workers struggling with inadequate income, ensuring they receive the necessary support to meet their daily needs. The successful distribution to factory workers highlights the ongoing efforts to address economic challenges faced by various sectors in the community.
