Tenement Elementary School was founded in 1968, just two years after the construction of the Bagong Lipunan condominium during the presidency of Diosdado Macapagal. Initially equipped with only nine classrooms and one multi-purpose room, the school welcomed an enrollment of 108 pupils under the leadership of its first principal, Mr. Severino Cruz, and a team of ten teachers.

Its geographic boundaries include the Food Terminal Inc. Today, it proudly stands as the largest school in Taguig City, with an impressive enrollment of 9,253 students, including kindergarten. The school boasts a dedicated team of 196 teachers, supported by 10 school guards, 8 janitors, and 1 clerk, all working tirelessly under the able leadership of the school principal to enhance student performance and achieve the school's mission.
