More than 2,600 Taguig City University (TCU) students received their allowance from the City of Taguig this Monday, July 31, in a ceremony at the TCU Auditorium.
The allowance given to the students is part of the city's comprehensive scholarship program under Mayor Lani Cayetano's Transformative City agenda.
Students who are in the 1st to 4th Year receive a P5,000 allowance per semester and an additional P5,000 merit incentive if their grades are high. The amount earned by the students is for two semesters.

Thousands of students are expected to get their allowances because the distribution at TCU (Taguig City University 2023) will last until Wednesday, August 2.
Mayor Lani personally delivered his message to the Taguigueño scholars. "There is no waste when you invest in education. It's not a waste when you give and invest in the future of the younger generation," said Mayor Lani.
Currently, more than 80,000 Taguigueño scholars have been helped by the massive scholarship program launched under the administration of Mayor Lani.
