Inception and Establishment

Bagumbayan National High School traces its origins back to July 26, 1999, when the then newly elected Congressman Alan Peter Cayetano endorsed a bill in the House of Representatives. This bill, known as the "Act Establishing a National High School in Brgy. Bagumbayan to be known as Bagumbayan National High School," paved the way for the establishment of this educational institution.

Bagumbayan National High School is mandated and supervised by the DepEd Philippines under Schools Division Office (SDO) of Taguig City and Pateros (TAPAT) to ensure access to quality education for every young Taguigeño.


Finally, Republic Act no. 3845 was passed by the House of Representatives and Senate on October 9, 1999, and June 8, 2000, respectively. Two years after the approval of this act, Bagumbayan National High School opened its doors to students in June 2002.

Growth and Development

Initially starting with 485 freshmen, 6 teachers, and 5 makeshift classrooms located in C.P. Sta. Teresa Elementary School, Bagumbayan National High School has undergone significant growth over the years. Presently, the school boasts 25 classrooms, with a 3-storey 9 classroom building under construction to accommodate the increasing student population.

With almost 4,000 students enrolled during the school year 2011-2012, Bagumbayan National High School has become a beacon of learning in the community. The school is home to a dedicated teaching force of 98 faculty members who strive to provide quality education and guidance to their students.

Under the leadership of Dr. Noemi O. Bayle, Bagumbayan National High School continues to uphold its commitment to academic excellence and holistic development. As the principal, Dr. Bayle works tirelessly to ensure that students receive the necessary support and resources to thrive in their academic pursuits.
