In 2019, the city council has decided and officially replaced the old seal of Taguig City into a new one.

The current seal of Taguig City, adopted in 2019, incorporates the colors of the Philippine flag; blue, red, white and yellow.
Here are the meanings of each symbols shown on Taguig City's seal:
Buildings
The buildings symbolize the city's transformative growth and continued progress.
Heart
The heart echoes the "I Love Taguig" motto, the sun represents bright future and warmth.
Waves
The waves depict water and life, paying homage to the fishing livelihood of Taguigeños.
Rice
The rice grains describe the city's etymology (from taga-giik or rice thresher in Filipino), the 28 grains represent the 28 barangays of Taguig City.
