About Laguna Lake Highway
Officially named as the Laguna Lake Highway, the Circumferential Road 6 (C-6) or most commonly known as the C-6 Road is is a network of roads and bridges that all together will form the sixth and outermost beltway of Metro Manila in the Philippines.
In 2009, the development of C-6 in Taguig brought forth a four-lane roadway stretching along the scenic shore of Laguna de Bay. Originally constructed as a two-lane thoroughfare spanning approximately 7 kilometers from M.L. Quezon Street in Lower Bicutan, Taguig, to the Napindan Bridge over the Pasig River, the road underwent significant enhancements.
Initially approved in 2002 as the Taguig Road Dike, aimed at covering 9.8 kilometers towards Rizal and serving as a flood control measure for the city, the project evolved over the years.
In February 2017, the Department of Public Works and Highways expanded the road to four lanes and officially rechristened it as the Laguna Lake Highway, further reflecting its evolving role and significance.
